Mark Worthington

President

Mark was owner and CEO of Worthington Associates for 32 years from 1983 to 2015. Mark’s father Stan Worthington founded the company in 1950 and was owner and CEO from 1950 to 1983. During Mark’s tenure as president Worthington Associates grew in size and sophistication, and made the transition from a largely self-performing general contractor to a professional construction manager.  The company has always had a special mission in building and working with churches.  Mark is a hands-on CEO, forming lasting relationships with clients and attending most project meetings.

Prior to succeeding his father as CEO of Worthington Associates, Mark had an early career in public sector work, first serving as a policy analyst for two federal agencies in Washington, DC, and then as a principal in a public-sector consulting firm in Cambridge, MA.  Mark serves as a director of Penn Community Bank, after initiating the successful unification of the former First Federal of Bucks County, where he served as chairman, and First Savings of Perkasie.  Mark has also served as a director and board chairman of United Way of Bucks County, as well as a director of the Bucks County Opportunity Council and the Network of Victim Assistance.  In his spare time, he enjoys travel, photography, and spending time in Maine with his wife Mimi and their four adult children.
